Karen received her first camera at the age of 10 and proceeded to fall in love with nature photography. She particularly loves taking pictures while she and her husband, Mike, are kayaking. It was her niece, Rachel, who pushed her into pointing her camera at people, which then became her passion. Karen is an award winning photographer who photographs families, seniors and pets. She has a studio by Lake Hefner where she specializes in doing portraits of women over 40, an often forgotten segment of society who spend their time behind the camera taking pictures of their kids and grandkids. Karen believes in celebrating women, making them feel beautiful and creating gorgeous portraits that can be passed on to future generations. She brings joy to every portrait session that she does.
