Faces of MPPA - TJ Parker
Which is your favorite lens? Why?
It may sound crazy, but I love my 70-200. When shooting horse events it’s just convenient and I can get the shots I want
What kind of tools do you use for post processing? Explain your work flow.
I use Lightroom for post. As for my workflow, it’s very simple, move images into a folder on my desktop, import into LR, then back up images when I am done.
How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?
I read others tips and what they have done, then try it out. Sometimes I just experiment on my own. Always practice.
Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
Probably the Old Mill, in Little Rock Arkansas. My mom was a painter and loved to paint the old water wheel mills. It’s more nostalgia then anything.
What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
How to really do lighting correctly.
What lighting equipment do you take on a shoot?
Very simple, 2 speed lights and some gels.
How important is Photoshop in your final images?
Right now, not very important. However I would like to get into some fine art work.
Name three things on your photography bucket list.
I would like to photograph someone famous, a magazine cover, and a historic event.
What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
Coffee creamer, smoked sausage, cheese, and a science experiment.
A website and/or blog you visit often?
Well it may sound bad, but I visit Adorama and Bedford’s website a lot. As for blogs, I don’t have anyone specific. I love to read blogs my friends write.
